Kentish Moorghen, CEO, Prime Pillar
The perennial consideration pertaining to whether someone is really an expert in their field is a valid one. It usually has to do with stunted academic growth with self-imposed limits on the transition from student to full-time worker. Soopaya Moorghen (Kentish), CEO and founder of the Prime Pillar Group, has sought to transcend those limits by being a lifelong student of the real estate industry while remaining an active practitioner.
His initial foray into the workplace occurred after an intense and enriching experience studying a Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Bombay and an MBA in Finance from Symbiosis International Business School. Starting off as a financial controller, Kentish climbed the professional ladder at a rapid pace, ending up as Real Estate Manager at Currimjee Jeewanjee Properties Ltd as early as 2001.
Making a name for himself in the industry, our founder eventually completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management in 2009 and an MBA in Construction and Real Estate in 2010, both from the prestigious UK-based University of Reading. Kentish founded Prime Pillar Limited in 2010. For his work with the Prime Pillar Group, our founder received a nomination at the Real Estate Leadership Award in 2016, where he won the Real Estate Super Achievers Award.
As a leader of the real estate industry in Mauritius, he became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2012 before reaching the much-coveted position of Fellow of the RICS in 2019.
